Intertape® 6120 is a polyester adhesive tape with silicone adhesive. It is designed for difficult masking operations, such as masking surfaces during the application of durable “powder coatings”. The polyester backing provides flexibility and conformability, and resistance to solvents and other chemicals. It can be removed from surfaces without a residue. It is precision cut for tear resistance and clean, sharp paint lines.
Applications
- High temperature masking as in powder coating
- PCB pRotective masking during various phases of printed circuit board (PCB) production
- Splicing operations requiring silicone adhesive
- Autoclave flash tape in metal bonding and composites fabrication
Benefits
- Suitable for high temperature applications
- PET backing provides flexibility/conformability
- Solvent and chemical resistant
- Removes without leaving residue on surfaces
- Precision cut for tear resistance and clean, crisp paint lines
The Rolls should be stored in their packaging protected from light and at a temperature between 18°C to 24°C, with a relative humidity of 40% to 50%. When using an adhesive tape stored below 18°C, it is advisable to keep the tape at room temperature for 24 hours to preserve its characteristics.
